    UAM/AAM Demonstration flight project of DLR

    Joonas Lieb graduated with a Masters´ Degree in Aerospace Engineering (2017) from the RWTH University in Aachen, Germany. Since 2017 he works as a scientific associate for the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Braunschweig in the department of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) of the Institute of Flight Guidance. Recently, he has been promoted as the business manager of his department.
    Mr. Lieb works in a variety of national and international projects for DLR, with a special focus on how to integration of Unmanned Aircraft Systems into the existing airspace. Among others, thematic topics such as U-space, Dynamic Airspace Reconfiguration and conflict detection and resolution are within his area of expertise.
    In 2019 Mr. Lieb become an official drone pilot for DLR. He obtained his drone pilot license for Germany as well as Italy, and is actively operating drones for several years now.

He has been managing the global business development for the overseas market as well as intelligence gathering and research work for whole AAM industry. Previously working as a consultant specializing in innovation consulting and Advance Air Mobility industry and its ecosystem including eVTOL and drones.He has also been running and managing a number of projects from creating a strategy for AAM entry and implementing market strategyfor specific areas within AAM such as Unmanned Traffic Management, regulations and policy making, vertiport and its charging station.

    Manabu Iwamoto joined Development Bank of Japan in 2012 and began his career in the Global Aviation Team, where he specialized in aircraft financing for domestic and international airlines and leasing companies. After experiencing real estate financing for two years, he moved to the Aerospace Office at DBJ in 2019, assuming responsibility for managing relationships with various aircraft manufacturers and suppliers both in Japan and the world.
    Since 2020, He has started to be heavily involved in the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) sector and currently holds a position in the Industrial Department, conducting research on AAM and actively promoting its social implementation in Japan.
