    Chief Representative

    다미앙 페레이라는 2024년 5월 주한 퀘벡정부 대표부 대표로 임명되었습니다.
    최근까지 퀘벡의 항공우주 클러스터인 에어로 몬트리올에서 성장 및 국제 업무 이사로 재직했습니다. 에어로 몬트리올 입사 전에는 퀘벡 경제·혁신· 에너지부의 혁신 관련분야 국내외 파트너십 부서에서 국제 분야를 관장했습니다.
    2011년부터 2021년까지는 파리 소재 퀘벡정부 대표부와 캐나다 밴쿠버 주재 퀘벡정부 대표부에서 경제 및 혁신담당 상무관, 상무부 대표 직무대행을 연이어 역임했습니다. 해당 기간 동안, 신규시장 개척을 위한 전략을 수립하고 수출 기업들의 성장을 지원하기 위해 대규모 산업 행사들을 관리했습니다.
    또한 밴쿠버 소재 인도 총영사관과 오타와 소재 인도 고등판무관 사무소 개소를 위한 캐나다 서부 영사 센터를 설립하는 데 필요한 컨설팅 서비스를 제공했습니다. 이외 프랑스, 호주, 밴쿠버에서 플라스틱, 컴퓨터 공학 및 운송 분야의 민간 부문에서 다양한 직책을 맡았습니다.
    파리 13 국제경영대학 졸업 후, 파리 도핀 대학교 조직학 및 공공업무 석사 학위 및 밴쿠버의 그레이스톤 컬리지 국제 비즈니스 경영학 학위를 취득했습니다. 또한 퀘벡-한국 비즈니스 협회의 창립 멤버로 2024년까지 역임한 바 있습니다.

    Introduction to Québec aerospace innovation zone and to Québec-Korea collaboration opportunities

    Dr. Besma Benredjem is the scientist in residence/Science advisor at the Québec government in Seoul where she promotes and facilitates the development of research, scientific and technological collaborations between Québec and South Korea in various fields (aerospace, advanced materials, biotechnology, AI, Smart cities, Energy Transition, Quantum Technologies etc.). A graduate of the University of Montreal, she holds a master’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine and a PhD in Pharmacology and Neurosciences.

    CRIAQ aerospace ecosystem and funding opportunities

    Dr.Guillaume Côté

    Guillaume Côté PhD is President and CEO of the Consortium for Research and Innovation in Aerospace in Québec (CRIAQ) since April 1st, 2024.
    Previously at Collins Aerospace, he was responsible for developing global strategy for a business division with more than 10,000 employees. Among his achievements were Collins’ strategy for North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) modernization and his leadership on advanced technologies strategy workshops.
    He was also Vice-President of Technology and Innovation for the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC). There, he led an extensive national
    consultation leading to the drafting of the Aerospace Innovation White Paper in 2016.
    Prior to this, Guillaume worked ten years in the federal public service as a senior advisor and manager in the aerospace, defence, energy, and infrastructure sectors, as well as in regional economic development. He also led the renewal of
    Canada’s bilateral science, technology and innovation action plans with France, Germany, Italy, and the European Union.
    In 2009, Guillaume was one of two Canadians selected for the European Union Visitors Program. To this day, he remains actively involved in the INRS community – his alma mater - and contributes to several industry associations, networks and
    think tanks.
    Guillaume is an expert in innovation ecosystems. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Laval University, including a year exchange at the University of Lausanne. His academic background includes a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Urban Studies from INRS, as well as a French doctorate in Geography and Planning.

    Dr. Jean-Marc Frayret

    Jean-Marc Frayret is Professor of Industrial Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal. His research focuses on modeling, optimization, and simulation of complex logistics systems in various sectors, including circular economy, manufacturing, product distribution, natural resource industries, and advanced air mobility. He is also the research director of the SDG Advanced Air Mobility Institute, which aims to develop tools and processes to optimize vertiport operations and airspace utilization, and to support the social and technological integration of advanced air mobility in Montréal and Québec. He is a member of the scientific committee of CIRODD, the SDG Innovation Network, and the Chantier de transition industrielle de l'Est de Montréal. He co-chaired the 2024 annual conference of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE).

    CIADI Academic-Industry UAM projects, role in the aero innovation zone

    Dr.Marius Paraschivoiu

    Dr. Marius Paraschivoiu is Professor in the Department of Mechanical, Industrial and Aerospace Engineering at Concordia University. He is also President of the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC) and past President of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering (CSME). He is Director of Research of the Concordia Institute of Aerospace Design and Innovation (CIADI) and does research in the area of Computational Fluid Dynamics. His algorithms are applied to the solution of problems in aerodynamics and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). Professor Paraschivoiu is notable for his engineering consultant work for a wide range of industries. Prof. Paraschivoiu has received a PhD degree in 1998 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and an MASc and BEng from École Polytechnique de Montréal.

    Dr.Patrick Germain

    Professor Patrick Germain is currently director of the new Aerospace Engineering department at École de technologie supérieure. He has 25 years of experience in the aerodynamics of gas turbine installations. While employed by Pratt & Whitney Canada from 1996-2011, he worked on the installation aerodynamics of engines for business, commercial, regional, military, general aviation, including that for helicopters and APUs. As a senior staff specialist, he solved various complex problems for all P&WC models. At Bombardier Aviation in 2011-2020 he was a principal engineering specialist and the key person for all questions related to the aerodynamics of turbofans and APU installations for all Bombardier aircraft models. Since his arrival at ÉTS in 2021, he created a new bachelor’s program in Aerospace Engineering, and he has undertaken a research program for the aerodynamic integration of engines in unconventional airframes and aero-shape optimization
