    How EDB could support UAM/AAM players in expanding their business in Singapore

    Mr. Trevor Wong is the Regional Director of the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). He is based in Korea and oversees the engagement of global companies to facilitate investments and transform their operations in Singapore. Concurrently, Trevor is on EDB’s Japan & Korea desk where he works closely with business associations and chambers of commerce to help their members succeed in Asia via Singapore.
    Prior to his current appointment, Trevor was in EDB’s Hub Services & Connectivity division where he supported the development of Singapore’s supply chain strategy through initiatives like warehouse transformation and supply chain control tower.
    Trevor received his bachelor’s degree in Creative Technology Management from Yonsei University in South Korea.

    Prof. Dr. Andreas Riener is an enthusiastic computer scientist with extensive experience in User Experience Design (UXD), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and Ergonomics, focusing on future mobility applications including automated shuttle buses and UAM. As the founder and team lead of the interdisciplinary Human-Computer Interaction Group at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI), Andreas oversees a team of approximately 20 PhD students, postdocs, and technical staff.
    Andreas Riener is a dedicated lecturer in UXD, HCI, and Computer Science, recognized for excellence in education, having received the Outstanding Teaching Award from the Bavarian State Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs in 2018. Prof. Riener has served as the program leader for the UXD programs at THI, managing both undergraduate (2015-2023) and graduate (since 2020) programs. Committed to supporting the scientific community, Andreas Riener is an elected member of the DFG Review Board for the 2024-2028 term, contributes to the ACM AutomotiveUI and Mensch & Computer conference series, and serves as chair of the ACM SIGCHI German Chapter. Andreas Riener is also a founding member of the ethics committee for Bavaria’s universities GEHBa.
    With a proven record in collaborative research, Andreas Riener has successfully secured over €6 million in funding for industrial and governmental projects over the last 7 years. He has authored or contributed to more than 350 publications.

    Antonios Tsourdos obtained an MEng on Electronic, Control and Systems Engineering from the University of Sheffield (1995), an MSc on Systems Engineering from Cardiff University (1996) and a PhD on Nonlinear Robust Flight Control Design and Analysis from Cranfield University (1999). He is a Professor of Autonomous Systems and Control with Cranfield University. He was appointed Head of the Autonomous Systems Group in 2007, Head of the Centre of Autonomous and Cyber-Physical Systems in 2012 and Director of Research - Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing in 2015.
    Professor Tsourdos was chair of the IFAC Technical Committee on Aerospace Control (2017 - 2023), and member of the IMechE Mechatronics, Informatics And Control Group. He is editorial board member for the Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part G: Journal of Aerospace Engineering, the Aerospace Science and Technology, the International Journal of Aeronautical and Space Sciences, the Control Engineering Practice, the International Journal of Systems Science and the Journal of Intelligent and Robotic Systems. He has also served in the editorial board member of the IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems and the IEEE Transactions of Instrumentation and Measurement.
    He is member of AIAA Advanced Air Mobility Certification Task Force. He is leading for Cranfield University a number of UKRI Future Flight Challenge projects on advanced air mobility operations.
    Professor Tsourdos research is focussed on autonomy. He has published widely on guidance, control and navigation for single and multiple autonomous vehicles as well as mission planning.

    Professor Hyo-Sang Shin is Professor in Cho Chun Shik Postgraduate School of Mobility at KAIST and Professor of Guidance, Control and Navigation Systems in Centre for Autonomous and Cyber-Physical Systems at Cranfield University. He received his BSc from Pusan National University on Aerospace Engineering in 2004 and gained an MSc on flight dynamics, guidance and control in Aerospace Engineering from KAIST and a PhD on cooperative missile guidance from Cranfield University in 2006 and 2011, respectively. He joined Cranfield University in 2011 as a lecturer, equivalent to assistant professor. From 2024, he joined KAIST as Professor and retained his professorship position at Cranfield University as an adjunct professor. He has published over 250 journal and conference papers and has been invited for many lectures, invited talks and keynotes both in Universities and industries mainly on autonomous and intelligent systems. He has been also involved in many research programmes such as Future Flight (Innovate UK), UTM (Connected Places Catapult), design of UAV airborne monitoring system (sponsored by DSTL) and development of information fusion algorithms for contextual awareness enhancement (supported by Selex Galileo) in the UK and started quite a few new projects in South Korea. Professor Shin has also been the coordinator of the EuroSWARM project (supported by European Defence Agency), which develops and demonstrates key enabling technologies for the unmanned swarm systems. He is also leading a research project, Real-time Decision Making for Autonomous Systems using AI Methods, supported by EOARD. Professor Shin has significant experiences and track records in autonomous and intelligent system related R&D projects. Professor Shin is a member of various technical committees (IFAC Technical Committee on Aerospace Control, IEEE Technical Committee on Aerial Robotics and Unmanned Aerial Systems), and program and editorial boards. He was programme co-chair of the 21st IFAC Symposium on Aerospace Control and programme chair of the 2019 IEEE Conference on Research, Education and Development of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (RED-UAS). He is also an Associate Editor of various prestigious journals such as IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems and Journal of Intelligent and Robotic Systems. He has won a few best paper awards and was the recipient of the Jeong Hun Cho Academic Award in 2024.
    Professor Shin is Head of Autonomous and Intelligent Lab and leading relevant research areas in KAIST and Cranfield University. The current research activities he is leading and being involved include, but not being limited to, UAM, UTM, decision making on multi-agent systems, information-driven sensing and fusion, multiple target tracking, improvement of multiple vehicle cooperation, and data-centric guidance and control.
