OHIO 2026: Hartzell Propeller to host site visit as part of eVTOL Insights’ North America Conference & Awards next month2026-03-16

eVTOL Insights is pleased to announce Hartzell Propeller will host a visit of its HQ in Piqua, Ohio, as part of its North America Conference & Awards next month.

The event will take place on Friday, May 1st and while exact timings have yet to be confirmed, it will likely be in the morning between 9.30am and 12noon ET.

The visit will be an opportunity for delegates attending the conference to hear more about the company, which is a global leader in advanced aircraft propeller design and manufacturing technology.

It traces its history to 1914 when a relationship between Orville Wright and Robert Hartzell led to the manufacture of the first Hartzell airplane propeller in 1917.

In June 2025, Hartzell Propeller received FAA Part 35 Type Certification for the first propeller designed specifically for advanced air mobility (AAM) aircraft.

The company worked with aerospace company BETA Technologies to achieve this landmark, conducting all testing of its propeller on BETA’s proprietary electric propulsion systems (electric engines), which are designed and manufactured in-house by BETA.

ABOUT NAAMCE

Located at the Springfield–Beckley Municipal Airport, the NAAMCE opened in September 2023 and is a premier research and development facility dedicated to advancing the field of Advanced Air Mobility. Spanning 55,000 square feet, the center comprises 30,000 square feet of administrative, laboratory, meeting, and collaboration spaces, along with an additional 25,000 square feet of aircraft hangar space.

NAAMCE serves as a collaborative hub, bringing together key stakeholders from the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, NASA, the Ohio Unmanned Aircraft Systems Center, academic institutions and private industry. The facility supports a wide range of activities, including the development and testing of eVTOL aircraft, high-speed VTOL aircraft and other AAM technologies.

In addition to its research and development functions, NAAMCE plays a pivotal role in workforce development and training. The center is equipped with eVTOL simulators to train crew members and supports various demonstration projects that showcase technologies advancing AAM integration beyond the aircraft itself.

Speaker and sponsorship opportunities are now available, and interested companies are encouraged to reach out to Sam Bromley, Sales Manager at eVTOL Insights, to learn more about how they can get involved. His email is sam.bromley@iigroup.global
